Description

The School Zone Flashing Beacon Time Clock Retrofit System provides for the remote management of existing school zone beacon systems currently equipped with manual or pager based time clocks. The Spot Devices SC305 Plug-and-Play Retrofit Controller replaces the existing time clock without the deployment of additional infrastructure, such as radio repeaters, Ethernet connections, local radios or local networks.

Operation

Once fitted with SC305 Plug-and-Play Retrofit Controllers, all beacons in the system are programmable from the Spot Devices System Infrastructure Management Application (SIMA), a browser-based tool for remote, enterprise-wide management of all Spot Devices systems. SIMA allows users to change school schedules and download and confirm calendars from virtually any browser-enabled desktop, notebook, tablet or smartphone. Furthermore, the GPS receiver in the SC305 obtains its calendar time base from ultra-accurate atomic clocks, ensuring on-time beacon activation and allowing the entire enterprise to be seen from a Google Map via SIMA.
